So this past weekend we decided to turn on our A/C for the first time since we got the house. It doesn’t work of course. We called our home protection plan and they had a guy come out. Our fan motor and capacitor needed to be replaced. The parts for that don’t come in until next Thursday.
So we sit in the basement with the fans on…
This past Monday we had the recently married Schultes over for dinner. The reason I misspelled the title was because of the wedding present that we got them. For our wedding Kayla and I got a sign that spells Wagner but the letters are pictures of things that make letters. During the Lot Family that we hosted at our house, Jessica saw the sign and seemed to like it. Kayla and I with Krystal then decided to get one for them for their wedding. Kayla called her aunt and asked if we could purchase one. Her aunt sent it to us in a box and we stored it away until just before the wedding. We opened it to see if it was still okay, and noticed that the name was spelled wrong. We ended up just giving them a picture of the sign and an apology for it being mis-spelled.
We had dinner and played a game I had never played before. Settlers of Catan is a really interesting game, it reminds me a lot of strategy type games like Risk. The sparkling grape juice we had leftover from Easter got busted out, and finished off. We had lots of fun, and the evening was a total blast. Hope to have them over again soon!
Saturday was a great day overall. Kayla and I slept in and had a lazy morning. We went to see Iron Man 2 in the afternoon. We used a gift card that we had for $20 and still ended up spending $8 more. I really enjoyed the movie, but I’m a sucker for Marvel superheroes.
Later that night, Matthias had a bocce tournament for dudes at Blanchette Park in St. Charles. We played from about 9:30 till 11:15 in the rain and had a blast. I didn’t do all that great, but it was still a load of fun.
